DEAR FRIENDS

Beauty in Being: Glitter and Grace

Dear Friends,

At Trinity Episcopal Church, we are often reminded that beauty is not something we create so much as something we recognize—already present in the world, already shimmering in the lives of our neighbors, already waiting to be named and celebrated.

On July 10th, we invite you into that recognition with us at Beauty in Being: Glitter and Grace, a joyful celebration of Queer Arts held here at Trinity. This evening gathering will bring together music, visual arts and spoken word in a spirit of creativity, hospitality, and pride. It is an opportunity to honor the gifts of LGBTQ+ artists and to witness the ways art can speak truth, heal wounds, and make space for joy.

“Beauty in Being” is not just a title—it is a statement of belonging. In a world that often asks people to justify or diminish who they are, this event is an affirmation that being is enough. That grace is not earned. That glitter is holy in its own right.

We hope you will join us for an evening that is as thoughtful as it is festive, as reflective as it is celebratory. Come as you are, bring a friend, bring your curiosity, and bring your full self.

And yes—there will be doughnuts.

Why doughnuts? Let’s just say they are part of a larger story we’ll share on the night—one that connects community and the unexpected ways grace shows up in ordinary life. Sometimes grace arrives glazed, sometimes sprinkled, and sometimes in a box passed hand to hand.

So come. Come for the art, come for the joy, come for the laughter, come for the conversation, come for the doughnuts. Come to be reminded that the sacred is often found not apart from our humanity, but right in the middle of it.

We look forward to seeing you on July 10th for Beauty in Being: Glitter and Grace.

Remember that you are Beautiful, Worthy, Loved, and Enough!

BETTER TOGETHER SHIRTS

If you plan on marching in the Pride Parade representing Trinity with Better Together, you are going to need a Better Together shirt. This year's shirt is pink! If you have a Better Together shirt from years past, you don't need to purchase a new one. The goal is to have a rainbow of people of faith marching down Adams Street. Shirts are $20 and can be purchased here: https://jupmode.chipply.com/FCUP26

TRINITY'S PRAYER LIST

Trinity continues to have an active prayer list. If you’d like prayers for yourself or for someone you know, you can request them by contacting the Trinity office (trinity@trinitytoledo.org or 419-243-1231). All prayer requests are shared only with a small intercessory prayer group who, along with parish clergy, offer recurring prayers for each request. When a request is received, it remains on the prayer list for four weeks before it’s taken off. Requests can always be renewed or submitted again; having an “expiration date” simply prevents the list from overflowing with prayer requests that are out of date.
